‘‘सा विद्या या विमुक्तये’’
The motto of the TAKSHASHILA VIDYAPIYH is “Sa Vidya Ya Bimuktaye”. which is also the vision and Motto that Mahatma Gandhi promoted. The Message is from “TAITREYA UPANISHAD” which means, “Capability of Understanding , Decision Making , and Self Expression as well as to articulate having Sound Ethical Values and Self Image.” And this is what exactly echoes in our well designed and Scientifically oriented Curriculum.

Purpose Of The Almanac
The purpose of the almanac is to build a rapport between the parents and the teachers, as well as, between the home and the school. It is only through close co-operation and concerted efforts of both parents and teachers that the child’s progress can be ensured. We request you to refer ALMANAC to keep in touch with your child’s progress. In the event of a child being found irregular at studies, not doing his/her homework, not being punctual or not showing progress at studies, note to this effect is sent by the teacher on the specified pages and it must be acknowledge by the parents. The school lays great emphasis on the teaching in particular. Learning process and efforts are made to make teaching more interactive, stimulating and inspiring. Children receive ample opportunities for interaction and learning by doing practically. Rote learning is discouraged and a deep understanding of the content is stressed upon. Homework is based on what the child is familiar with and what he/she has learned and can do independently all by himself/hereself. This almanac should be constantly used by parent and teacher to monitor and comment upon the student’s progress in studies and his/her conduct. For any other type of comments, like suggestions for improvement in teaching methods, school practices and educational programmes, separate letters should be addressed to the principal who is amiable to suggestions. To ensure constant monitoring of the child’s progress, this ALMANAC serves a link between the parents and the teachers. We look forward to your continuous co-operation, help and guidance.
